Apple has emphatically stated that iWeb publishing, iDisk storage and file sharing, and the photo and video Gallery feature are going away. These services will exist in their current form until Apple pulls the plug on MobileMe next June. There are also other less obvious side effects. You will no longer be able to use me. Existing e-mail aliases will continue to work, but you won't be able to create any new ones on iCloud.

Photo Stream only keeps photos in iCloud for 30 days unless you manually add them to an album on your iDevice or Mac running iPhoto, and you can't view them online either. You also won't be able to sync settings for Dashboard widgets, Dock items, and Keychains, or Mail accounts, rules, settings, and other data.

It's certainly possible Apple could bring this functionality back, but for now it has chosen not to. If you have used MobileMe to keep multiple Macs set up the same way—such as a home and work computer—that's going away no later than next June as well.

Similar to Apple's move to drop app setting syncing, any existing apps that you currently use that rely on MobileMe and Sync Services to sync data will stop syncing after moving your account from MobileMe to iCloud. Apple has provided developers with APIs to use your iCloud store for this purpose, but you'll want to make sure the apps you use have been updated before moving your account over.
