Rose Bay is not an up beat bustled area like Bondi; it's much more laid back, calm and relaxing. For this reason it's great for couples, families and friends, and solo travellers who want some peace and quiet but not far from civilisation. The Lyne Park playground offers activities for kids should they get a bit restless and Rose Bay Marina Kiosk is a great little cafe who offer bread for kids who want to feed the fish.

Take advantage of being there to enjoy a homemade menu, perfect for breakfast, brunch and lunch. If you're with your dog Rose Bay area accommodates, keep them on the leash but on the foreshore area between Dumaresq Reserve and Tingira Memorial Park you can take them off; there is a perfect little beach you can enjoy together - just make sure you take the entrance at the end of Caledonian Road.

In Rose Bay, you will find a range of nice eateries to go. For a quick break you can go to Ministry of Coffee ; they have a nice selection of delicious pastries and a wonderful harbour view. For a more filling late lunch option Regatta Rose Bay has great modern Australian cuisine, it's a bit pricey but well worth it. A popular more moderately priced option is Den Sushi and for dinner try the well reputed Indian restaurant Jewel on the Bay.

If you're planning a romantic date and want to impress, we advise you to go to Catalina Restaurant , quite well-known and won't disappoint; enjoy a fine dining seafood restaurant experience with a stunning view.

Rose Bay doesn't have a great deal of eateries around but there are still some nice options. The park area is well maintained and provides toilet facilities and picnic areas. Rose Bay isn't near any train lines but there are bus routes and parking areas around.
